The player makes a bet and launches the reels marked
with symbols, which after a period of spinning give a random combination.
The payout is dependent on the winning combination formed. Every slot has
its own set of winning combinations and a paytable.
Setting bets. Setting lines. To start playing online slots you should choose the value of the coins for betting using
the buttons "+" and "-" in the lower right corner of the screen. Then
choose the number of paylines to bet using the numbered buttons round
the reels or using Bet one button. Each time you click on the
Bet one button another payline is being added. In most of the
machines the player may choose the lines sequentially as they increase
(1,2,3,4,5 - possible; 2,3,4 or 1,5 and so on - impossible). The total
sum of bet comprises the value of the coin multiplied to the number of
selected paylines - this sum is displayed on the control panel box at
the bottom of the screen.
View paytable. Click the Paytable button
to see the winning coefficient for each symbol combination. To calculate
the winning multiply this coefficient to the bet per line. Close the
paytable by clicking the Paytable button again.
Spin. Pushing the Max bet button forces
all paylines to become selected and launches the reels automatically.
Clicking on the Spin button (if the player has not chosen the
Max bet button before) launches the game as well. There is
another way of launching the reels - push the Spacebar or
Enter keys on your keyboard.
Automatic mode. Some slot machines allow automatic
mode of reels spin - during a cycle till 25 spins new rounds will start
without player’s activity. One spin is used by default - number one is
indicated on a little automatic game display above the Spin
button. On each side of this display there are two buttons increasing or
decreasing the number of spins in a cycle. One mouse click adds or
subtracts one spin. One click holding the Shift key sets maximum (25) or
minimum (1) number of spins. After you have chosen the duration of a
series push the button Bet max (or Bet one and then
Spin) to start the cycle. Before each next spin the sum of
bet is collected from the player’s account, and the winning sum is
deposited to the account. After each round the number indicated on the
automatic game display decreases till it reaches 1. After the whole
cycle end the indicator of spins number displays the number set by the
player (next games will be run by the same series, if the player didn’t
change the number of spins). Automatic game can be stopped by pushing
the Stop button that appears instead of the Spin
button during the cycle. The cycle may be broken if only the current
round is over. Automatic spins pause during the bonus games and
continue when the player returns to the main game.
Winning combinations. If any of the paylines on
which the player has bet contains a winning combination, the winning is
being deposit to the player’s account according to the paytable.
Winning combinations must fall out from left to right beginning
from the extreme left reel. The winning is calculated multiplying the
coin value by the coefficient from the paytable. The winnings from
different paylines are summed up. One line can contain the reels of
more than one winning combination, but only the best result is being
paid off. The exception of these rules makes the combinations of
scatters.
When the scatters appear they are paid off no matter if the line
was paid for or not. The payoff is calculated multiplying the
corresponding coefficient from the paytable to the whole bet (not bet
per line) and added to the winning per lines.
Some slot machines have universal (often called "wild") symbols,
which can substitute any other one and even those (except scatters)
which launch bonus games.
Bonus games. Along with known payoff slot machines
provide an opportunity to win some unknown sum of money in bonus games.
Some special symbol combinations force bonus games.
Result. The sum of wins is displayed on the
paylines and the control panel box at the bottom of the screen.
Doubling. In some slot machines there is a
Double button - after a successful round the player can push it
and double or quadruple his winning (except maximum one). To increase
the winning the player needs to guess the colour or the suit of the card
drawn from the deck at random. The opportunities of increasing each
winning are limited - you can practice telepathy not more than five
times at a session.
Slot machine variants
Slot machines differ by the number of reels - 3, 4, 5, 8 or 9, and also
by the number of line - 1, 3, 5 or 9.
In 1-line slots the winning situation is only checked
on the middle horizontal line.
In 3-line slots you can, by depositing a desired number of coins, bet
on 1, 2, or 3 lines that the win will be checked on.
In 5-line slots you can play on up to 5 lines (3 horizontal and 2
diagonal).
In the 5-reel 9-line slots you can bet on broken
lines as well. For example, such winning scheme is possible: two utmost
symbols are on the central horizontal line; three central symbols are on
the line above.
In the 9-reel slots the reels are placed on the
screen in three rows each containing three reels. The player can see only
one symbol on one reel at the same time. So, in every spin after the reels
stop there appear nine symbols on the screen; they can assemble winning
combinations on eight paylines: three horizontal, three vertical and two
diagonal.
In 9-reel slots with double spin the reels are displayed in three rows
each containing three reels as well. Every row can provide one winning
combination - horizontal. The bet is made on three lines at once
overdrawing the value of the coin. The bottom row is the first one to
spin. After the reels stop some of them (containing the whole or part of
the winning combination) may be locked by the player. The reels above
those which have been locked turn their selected symbol and remain still
during the next spin. After this spin the results are determined.
